The Remote Suite for Slack

Send appreciation messages from The Remote Suite directly into Slack channels.

The Remote Suite Slack app posts formatted applause messages to a selected Slack channel whenever users create appreciation posts. The integration supports mentions, configurable target channels, and minimal scopes.

Install The Remote Suite in your Slack workspace.

How It Works

Click "Add to Slack" and authorize the app for your workspace.
Return to The Remote Suite and invite a Slack user (or confirm sync).
Select the channel where applause messages should be delivered.
Post appreciation in The Remote Suite and mentioned teammates will receive an applause message in Slack.

Scopes & Why We Need Them

chat:write — Send formatted applause messages to Slack channels on behalf of The Remote Suite.

users:read — Fetch workspace user list to allow mentioning teammates in appreciation posts.

channels:join — Optional: used to join a public channel before posting if the bot hasn't been manually added.

Privacy & Security

Sub-processors

We do not store Slack user data. Slack User IDs are fetched on-demand for message delivery and are not persisted. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Testing & Installation Instructions

Install via "Add to Slack".
Invite a Slack user and select channel in Integrations.
Create a Post Appreciation, mention a user, select claps, and click Post Now.
Confirm the applause message appears in the selected Slack channel.
